The international seminar 'Paths to Success: Inspiring Future Leaders in Sport-Challenges in Communication', will be held from November 23rd - 25th, 2012 in Berlin, Germany. The programme and registration can be found below.
The seminar aims to help young women and men gain valuable skills and tools that will enable them to become potential future leaders in international sport organisations, sport institutions, sport science, and physical education practices. The theme of the seminar is 'Challenges in Communication', and multiple facets of communication will be covered, as it is an essential skill for success. Communication skills training, negotiations, media communication, and international communication, are some of the communication dimensions that will be discussed. There will be a number of successful and inspiring speakers that will present on these topics, as well as activities that will put communication skills training to practice.
The seminar is jointly hosted by the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), the International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education (ICSSPE), and the Freie Universität Berlin. The seminar is funded by the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Germany, and Olympic Solidarity and held at the 'Hotel Seminaris', Campus Hotel Berlin, Takustrasse 39, 14195, Berlin, Germany. Space will be limited to 40 participants.
The registration fee is 120 € per person and includes accommodation at the Hotel Seminaris, meals, and the three day seminar.
